Come on down and join in on The Meeting Room live music experience. Nothing beats seeing bands live on stage – the atmosphere, the sounds, the vibe – it’s always a real extravaganza!

Up close and personal for the best of the blues

The Meeting Room is what you’d call an intimate music venue. You’ll enjoy being up close and personal with some of today’s up and coming blues rock bands, covering the whole spectrum of the blues, from deep down and soulful through to gigs that are really rocking.

The Meeting Room experience

We usually kick off with doors opening around 7 – 7.30, depending on the music content of the night, and no sets are rushed – we let the music take its time. We’ve plenty of parking for the designated drivers, with a bar selling all your favourite tipples as well as a couple of guest beers supplied by local microbreweries. It’s not just standing room only – we have seating and often serve food, depending on the gig.

Mine host at The Meeting Room is David Mitchell, aided and abetted by impresario Paddy McGuire – himself a bit of a virtuoso – they love their rock and blues and believe in booking some of the best names playing the live music scene. They’re backed up by a dedicated team managing each gig, and we hear that the acts love playing The Meeting Room too, which makes for a really great experience.

There’s a powerful professional quality sound system at the venue – recently installed, managed by sound professionals and capable of reflecting the power of the rock and blues acts performing. So you’ll get great sound as well as a belting live music experience, at a unique venue.
